CIEH Foundation Certificate
in Food Hygiene
Introduction
This is the first level of a range of courses accredited
by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH).
It teaches the importance of basic food hygiene and
helps employers to meet training requirements for their
employees under the Food Safety (General Food Hygiene)
Regulations.
Suitable for
Anyone who prepares, handles, serves etc food as part
of their work activities.
Course objectives

Exam Format
Multi-choice examination comprising 30 questions, which
lasts for approximately 40 minutes.
