Bullet Question: Where are the courses held?
Answer: At a location to suit you. Most clients prefer to hold the training in-house on their own premises but we are happy to run courses for you off-site, perhaps in a local hotel, or at our own training suite in Aylesford, Kent.

Bullet Question: Do delegates get any form of certification?
Answer: All the nationally recognised courses conclude with an examination (optional). Successful candidates receive certificates from the awarding body.

Certificates of attendance or achievement can be issued to delegates attending all other courses.

Bullet Question: How soon can you deliver?
Answer: Usually within 4-6 weeks depending on the course required and current availability.

Bullet Question: What is the cost?
Answer: Prices vary according to course to be delivered. For example, the First-Aid at Work Certificate is as little as £1100 + vat for up to 12 people – that’s less than £100 per delegate!

We charge for training development and delivery on a daily basis, and will provide you with a written quotation before work begins. Discounts are available where higher volumes of work are placed. Our standard daily rate for training is £875 + vat.

Nationally recognised courses have additional registration and certification fees. These are advised in advance and passed on at cost.

Bullet Question: Why should we use PHSC for our training?
  Answer:

Just look at some of the comments made by clients and judge for yourself!

“The trainers are professional and competent, materials and standards of presentation are good. They have a positive response to feedback and a good response to the short timescales that occur in a retail environment”

Kathy Toft, Training Manager, Pets at Home Ltd.

“One of the best courses I’ve been on!? ”

Adrian Bailey, Shift Manager, British Bakeries Ltd
(Passed NEBOSH Certificate with a credit. Examinations taken April 2003)

“PHSC has always delivered a high standard of training at a very competitive and affordable rate. I would strongly recommend the services of this company!”

Richard Mathers, Head of ASSIST, Virgin Retail Ltd

Bullet Question: What training methods do you use?
Answer: We use a variety of methods during a course, depending on the subject and the course objectives.

Our philosophy is to “train by doing” which means that, wherever possible, we include practical exercises. This enables delegates to put the theory into practice, and see at the same time how it relates to their own workplace. This makes them feel more able and confident to use their newly-learnt skills when back at the workplace.

Bullet Question: Who does the training?
  Answer:

We have several experienced, qualified trainers. We select the most appropriate trainer for the course content and the delegate group. All trainers undertake consultancy work and can bring that experience to the classroom, citing real workplace examples to illustrate and reinforce learning points.
