      IOSH Managing Safely Training Course

Our IOSH Managing Safely Course aids managers and supervisors with acquiring the knowledge and expertise required to assess and manage health and safety in their workplace. Our training course is IOSH approved and can be delivered in-person or online.

      What is IOSH Managing Safely?

IOSH Managing Safely is designed as an introduction to health and safety in the workplace for managers. It focuses on training the manager to apply sound management principles to safety and health issues as part of a total management strategy. The IOSH training course is suitable for supervisors and managers who are required to manage health and safety issues as part of their general responsibilities.

Our IOSH Managing Safely courses are always modified to incorporate the client’s own policies and methods for working. We also use case scenarios relevant to your business and industry so the learners can relate what they are being taught to the environment in which they are working.

      In-Person IOSH Managing Safely Training

You can receive this training at your own workplace, at a location arranged by you, or you can use our own training facilities.  We also offer this course publicly for individual bookings or if an in-house course is not cost effective.

We can offer this in-person training  course over a period of three or four days:

This 3 day course condenses the training, meaning reduced costs and time. IOSH state that 22 hours of training is needed to effectively deliver the content so each training day will be 7 .5 hours long (excluding breaks) rather than the usual 5.5 hours.

For many learners, especially those who are less familiar with being sedentary or in a classroom environment, this may prove more challenging to sufficiently absorb the learning material. It also impacts upon a time to enable “applied learning” through practical work, which is often the preferred method of delivering/receiving training.

Delegates are expected to complete their work-place project in their own time once back at work and within a set time period (usually two weeks). This is often a challenge, especially when they have already had time away from their work and need to catch up.

This 4 day course enables more time for practical work, problem solving and deeper discussion on topics of most interest and relevance to the client. It also enables sufficient time to complete both the theory exam and the risk-assessment project whilst in the classroom. This means that when the learner completes the course they have no further work to do and can concentrate fully on catching up on what they have missed whilst away from their work activities.

"Thanks for the four-day course it was excellent really well delivered and hopefully, it serves as a good springboard to my pursuit of the Nebosh General Certificate, which I recently started. And the site visit to the RBLI brought everything we had learnt together."
