IOSH Safety for Executives and Directors Training Course

The IOSH Safety for Executives and Directors course replaced the original IOSH Safety for Senior Executives and IOSH Directing Safely Courses. It amalgamates the two courses and concentrates on a strategic “Plan, Do, Check, Act” approach. Senior personnel need to be aware that the responsibility for health & safety rests ultimately with them.  Our tailored course meets IOSH specifications and threads key elements of developing a positive safety culture throughout the training.

      About the Course

We firmly believe that effective health and safety management can only occur when there is a balance between understanding human behaviours and adapting the systems to work with (rather than against) your workers. By understanding the many priorities faced by executives, we have been able to create a more holistic approach to risk and safety compliance.

Our IOSH Safety for Executives and Directors course builds upon the practical application of risk and safety management when planning, implementing, monitoring, and reviewing business management strategies. It also includes guidance given in the joint publication by the Institute of Directors (IOD) and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), Leading Health and Safety at Work.

Our training course is very interactive, including several practical tasks for attendees to complete both on their own and via group discussion. We don’t lecture or talk at you but use coaching techniques that you can apply when back at work, helping you consider how to integrate effective safety and risk management in your own organisation.

There are a number of simple tools included in the course that directors can take away and use with confidence, providing you with some easy and instant wins.

      Available In-person or Remotely!

If you have a group of senior executives, we can provide the course in-house and tailor the content to reflect your own policies and systems. You can also book directly onto one of our publicly-held courses. See below for upcoming courses or get in touch regarding future dates & availability.

Alternatively, we are now able to deliver all our training courses, and any other training that you require, remotely via Zoom or Microsoft Teams. We have perfected this delivery method to ensure learners receive interactive, relevant & engaging remote training.
