Fire Safety Awareness Course
Course includes:
- Definition of fire and common causes of fires in the workplace
- The chemistry of fire
- Common causes of fire including arson
- Fire safety features within the building
- Fire doors, escape routes, assembly point
- Smoke detectors
- Identification and use of portable fire fighting equipment
- Fire precautions within the workplace:
- The importance of good housekeeping
- Evacuation procedures, the need to cooperate, consequences of non-cooperation
- Activities and role of marshals/wardens
- Practical work – evacuation drill / use of extinguishers (as requested by client)
- Useful hints and tips in the event of fire
